ASSISTANT PROFESSOR NEEDED:

The School of Professional Psychology (SOPP) at Wright State University (WSU) is seeking outstanding applicants for the position of Assistant Professor in our APA-accredited doctoral (Psy.D.) program. The position is available to start as early as July 1, 2018. This position is a renewable annual contract, pending funding. The successful candidate will join a diverse and innovative faculty who are active in teaching, service, practice, and scholarship. Applicants must have a commitment to graduate instruction and training effective clinicians, well informed by psychological science. We are a generalist  program, areas of specialty remain open. However, assessment and child/adolescent   experience are priority areas for this position. Academic teaching areas could include, but are not limited to, integrative assessment, cognitive assessment laboratory, and interviewing. 

All candidates must hold a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or a related field from an APA-accredited program.  Must be licensed in Ohio as a psychologist within three months of hire. Experience providing evidence-based interventions and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Broad assessment experience and prior teaching experience are preferred.

LECTURERS NEEDED: THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY

The Department of Psychology at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY seeks multiple lecturers (non-tenure track) beginning autumn semester 2018. Positions vary in appointment length from one semester to up to three academic years, with the possibility of renewal based on positive performance and department need. Lecturers may teach up to 4 psychology core and advanced courses per semester and provide instructional service, as determined by departmental need. A limited number of full-time positions are also available and could be filled from this posting.  We have a particular need for candidates qualified to teach undergraduate behavioral neuroscience courses.

Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in psychology, or closely related field, prior to August 15, 2018.  Demonstrated previous successful teaching experience at the college/university level; at least two years of teaching experience at the college level desired. Appointment is contingent on the university’s verification of credentials and other information required by law and/or university policies, including but not limited to a criminal background check.
