Event Description
Couples are some of the most challenging and rewarding clients to have in your clinical practice. This workshop will introduce participants to the theory and practice of Imago Relationship Therapy. Participants will learn and practice foundational skills for working with couples and leave the workshop with an understanding of how to help move couples from conflict to connection. Workshop objectives: Participants will: 1. Learn the basic theory of Imago Relationship Therapy. 2. Learn and practice practical skills for helping couples resolve conflict and create connection in their relationships. 3. Learn and practice the Imago Dialogue for facilitating safe, constructive conversations between partners. Instructors: Lanex Brink, LISW-SR, MSSA, is a Certified Imago Therapist, Imago Advanced Clinician, and Certified Imago Workshop Presenter who has been working as an Imago Therapist for over 25 years. She has a vibrant clinical practice in Beachwood, Ohio. Nathan Gehlert, Ph.D., PC, is an Assistant Professor at John Carroll University, who has trained as an Imago Relationship Therapist. He keeps an active research agenda in the areas of couples counseling, personality theory, and spirituality.
