Event Description

This workshop will discuss general psychopharmacology, specifically: mechanisms of psychopharmacology, the uses and side effects of medication, and a review of major medication classes. The medication classes to be highlighted include: antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, mood stabilizers, antipsychotics and stimulants. Presenter: Dr. Lowe is the Medical Director for Providers for Healthy Living. Dr. Lowe has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings and has specialty training in mood disorders, ADHD and other disruptive behavior disorders, PTSD, eating disorders, autistic disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy, group therapies, and anxiety disorders. Dr. Lowe is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc.
