Jung Study Group Ego and Archetype: The Process of Individuation and its Clinical Implications A series of classes held on six Monday nights from 6:30-8:00pm. These classes will utilize Edward Edinger’s book, Ego and Archetype, to immerse us into an understanding of Jungian psychology. Course participants will build an understanding of individuation and Jung’s vision of psychological wholeness. Over the 6 weeks, we will develop a deeper comprehension of the individuation process through in-class readings, discussion, and creative exercises. Session 1: Jan 28 will explore the concept of Individuation Session 2: Feb 11 will explore the stages of development Session 3: Feb 25 will explore the concept of ego-self axis Session 4: March 11 will explore the function of symbol in the individuation process Session 5: March 18 and Session 6: April 1 Last two sessions will tie what we have learned together with an exploration of archetypal material from fairy tale and myth. About the presenter: Randi Nathenson, LISW-S, Jungian Analyst is a licensed clinical social worker and Jungian Analyst with a private practice in Highland Heights, OH. She is a diplomate of the Inter-regional Society of Jungian Analysts. She currently serves on the Board of the Jung Educational Center of Cleveland, and is active in many professional organizations, including the IAAP and Pittsburgh Jung Society.
